FROM SAM DIAZ
Peace
The guest commentary, (poetical prose) is the result of a request from one of our poet subscribers. The original request was to print and have it available at the Cafe. My first response (excuse the bluntness) was: NO. Not being a political person, having lost faith and hope in solutions political, and always mindful of the 7 billion different ways to look at our problems, I would decline. If there are any solutions, they will be found in ART. However upon reading the piece, I changed my mind. It is appropriate to the times and season we are going through. It is ART. And so, it is my pleasure to have this piece in Our Nuyorican Thing (and available at the Cafe) Click here to read
In the Service of Poetry, Art and Community
